Annex A Update - April 2025

US Equestrian (USEF) Dressage has published an update to Annex A, effective immediately. Annex A can be found on the USEF website under the Dressage Rules & Equipment page.

Annex A is a visual supplement to the USEF Dressage Rules. All bits/equipment labeled as ‘Pending Review’ are not allowed in USEF/USDF competition until determined otherwise in this Annex. Please refer to FEI Dressage Rules directly for permitted saddlery/equipment in FEI CDIs events. Please note: Bridle brands and models often have features, not always visible in an illustration, that make them "permitted" or "not permitted". For variations of items pictured on these pages, or new items on the market, a ruling must be obtained from the USEF Dressage Department staff. Send questions and/or clear photographs (preferred) both on and off the horse to dressage@usef.org.

Questions related to Annex A and Dressage DR121 should be directed to Lauren Moore, Director of Team Coordination & Administration at dressage@usef.org.
